Last Saturday, I had the immense privilege of leading a small group of talented teens in a writing workshop. They all showed such promise that it was riveting to to read their work and discuss ways to improve. We also talked a little about the process of traditional publishing. These are students from my hometown, which made it even more of a fulfilling experience. I'm not much of a public speaker so this was the perfect way for me to dip my toe in with a small group and get involved with young readers/writers.
I enjoyed this experience so much that I would be honored to help more students refine their writing. If you're a librarian or teacher and are interested in booking me for a teen writing workshop, head over to my contact page! For in-person workshops I'd like to keep the group smaller than 15 students - but I'm also willing to discuss online workshop options that could be more more inclusive.
